Do You Know an Adult who has not been Baptized?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a gradual process of discovery for welcoming new
members into the Catholic Church. The process begins with an inquiry period open to all seekers, those
who have never been baptized & those baptized in other Christian traditions who desire to learn more
about being Catholic. Anyone wishing information about the RCIA is invited to call Gerard at 823-7197. |
Do You Have a Child who has not been Baptized?
St. Anthony Parish welcomes parents who wish to have their child baptized & thanks them for their
commitment to the Catholic Church. Parents of children from birth to six years of age are invited to
prepare for their child’s Baptism & life as a Catholic by attending two parent meetings. You may sign
up by coming to the Parish Office.
If you have children seven years of age or older, they can be part of a special program that will prepare
them for the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation & Communion). For more information,
please call Gerard at 823-7197, ext. 30. |
Deacon Vocation
The vocation of permanent Deacon is a great gift of God to our Church. Permanent deacons are ordained ministers
whose charter is to teach, to preach, & to serve. Thus, you will find Deacons in many different
ministries. In addition to assisting at Mass they will administer sacraments, such as baptisms
& matrimony, & will officiate at funerals & vigils. Many are involved in ministries that take care of
people in need such as visiting shut ins, people in hospitals, & people in prison. There are no ministries
outside the church of a Deacon. Is there a vocation into the Deaconate in your future? If
you feel that you are being led by God to the Diaconate, please contact your Pastor or Deacon. |

Would you like to take the Vocational Cross home for two weeks? We are looking for
